About

Founded by Yvonne Hung, Otelier partners with craft manufacturers to build design-led ventures rooted in heritage. The studio preserves traditional craft by creating new objects and experiences in collaboration with makers. A San Francisco–raised designer trained at Stanford University, the Harvard Graduate School of Design, the Royal College of Art, and Imperial College London, Hung worked across urban planning and product design at Google and Silicon Valley startups before relocating to Kyoto to collaborate directly with Japanese craftsmen.
